1200A Low-Voltage Switchboard Installation for an Industrial Facility in Oklahoma, USA

An industrial facility in Oklahoma required a significant upgrade to its existing power distribution system to accommodate production expansion and equipment efficiency improvements. The growing load demand exceeded the capacity of the current system, necessitating a high-capacity, highly reliable low-voltage power distribution solution to ensure safe and stable operations across the plant.

Following a rigorous technical evaluation, the client selected KAILES as the supplier for the core power distribution equipment—a 1200A Low-Voltage Switchboard—along with comprehensive technical support and on-site installation guidance.

KAILES Solution:

To address the challenges of high-current, continuous-load industrial operations, KAILES delivered a custom Switchboard solution fully compliant with the UL 891 Standard:

· High-Reliability Structural Design: The switchboard features a dead-front construction to ensure operator safety during routine inspections and maintenance. The internal busbars are fully rated at 1200A, utilizing high-conductivity T2 copper to minimize impedance and temperature rise.
· Strict Quality Control: From sheet metal fabrication, busbar manufacturing, to final assembly, KAILES adheres to the ISO 9001 quality management system. Comprehensive type tests and factory inspections (including Hi-pot testing, temperature rise testing, and mechanical operation testing) were conducted prior to shipment, ensuring zero-defect product performance.
· North American Compliance: The product strictly follows the NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements, with electrical clearances, creepage distances, and grounding systems fully compliant with North American installation standards.

Certification & AHJ Approval:

· Product Certification: This batch of switchboards holds the globally recognized UL 891 certification, confirming that the product’s short-circuit withstand capacity and overall electrical performance fully meet the stringent North American market entry requirements.
· AHJ Site Inspection: Upon delivery and installation, the local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) conducted a comprehensive on-site inspection, covering structural integrity, internal electrical connections, nameplate data, and safety labeling. Ultimately, the KAILES equipment passed the AHJ inspection on the first attempt with its solid craftsmanship and compliant design, receiving official authorization for successful energization and commercial operation.
