Product Introduction

The switchboard is a core equipment in power systems for centralized distribution, control, and protection of electrical energy. It is widely used in industrial plants, commercial buildings, residential complexes, data centers, public facilities, and other scenarios. It adopts premium composite galvanized plates and stainless steel materials. Internally, it integrates circuit breakers, contactors, fuse protection devices, and supports multi-circuit power distribution. It possesses multiple protection functions such as overload, short circuit, temperature rise, and leakage current protection, ensuring power system safety. With remote operation and a modular structure design, it facilitates expansion and maintenance, meeting different users’ diversified power management requirements.

Product Features
UL Listed Certification – Code Compliance and Safety Assurance
Designed and manufactured in full compliance with UL 891. All required type tests including temperature rise, dielectric withstand, and short‑circuit current rating (SCCR) -are successfully performed. UL Listing is mandatory for legal sale and installation in the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Dead-Front Construction -Enhanced Operator Protection
All energized parts are fully enclosed within the metal cabinet; the front face has no exposed live conductors. This design prevents accidental contact and complies with NFPA 70E safe work practices.
High Continuous Current and Short‑Circuit Withstand Capability
Main bus bar is rated up to 6000 A continuous, with a short‑circuit withstand rating up to 200 kA. Available with fixed or draw‑out circuit breakers equipped with electronic trip units (LSI and LSIG protection) to accommodate high‑capacity distribution systems.
Modular Platform -Flexible Configuration
Built on an open modular architecture, allowing optional integration of digital meters, power monitoring, surge protective devices (SPD), and Modbus communication ports. Offers a wide range of options including copper or aluminum bus bars, front‑access or front‑and‑rear‑access configurations.
Indoor and Outdoor Versatility
Available with NEMA 1 (indoor) and NEMA 3R (rain-tight, outdoor) enclosures to suit various installation sites. The switchboard is seismic‑qualified per IBC and OSHPD certification standards.
Cost-Effective and Broadly Applicable
Offers a significantly lower manufacturing cost compared to UL 1558 metal‑enclosed switchgear, making it a highly cost‑effective solution for most general distribution applications. The standardized design simplifies field installation and reduces overall construction time.

Installation Guide

UL 891 Switchboard: NEC 110.26 Installation Compliance Requirements

1:Front Working Space Depth

This is the most stringent standard. Per NEC Table 110.26(A)(1), for 0-600V systems, the depth requirements are as follows:

Condition 1 (Insulated Wall Opposite): Minimum 3 ft (0.91 m).

Condition 2 (Grounded Metal/Concrete Opposite): Minimum 3.5 ft (1.07 m).

Condition 3 (Energized Equipment Opposite): Minimum 4 ft (1.22 m).

2:Width of Working Space

The width must be equal to the width of the equipment or at least 30 inches (0.76 m), whichever is greater. All doors must be able to open at least 90 degrees.

3:Headroom

A minimum vertical clearance of 6.5 ft (approx. 2 m) from the floor is required. If the equipment is taller than 2 m, the headroom must match the equipment height.

4:Egress / Access to Working Space

Mandatory for large equipment (1200A or more, width over 6 ft):

Dual Egress: One entrance/exit is required at each end of the working space.

Panic Hardware: Exit doors must open outward and be equipped with a Panic Bar for rapid evacuation in the event of an arc flash incident.

5:Dedicated Electrical Space

The space above the switchboard to the ceiling (or within 6 ft) is the dedicated electrical space. It is strictly prohibited to install foreign systems such as water pipes, HVAC ducts, or sprinklers in this zone.

6:Rear Clearance

Rear Access Models: Rear clearance must match front requirements (3-4 ft).

Front Access Only Models: Wall-mounting is permitted, but 1-2 inches of clearance is recommended for air circulation.
